It's the often unspoken "surprise me" that's implicit in every job we get that is most appealing about this business. It requires us to explore. In our roles as brand-builders we are (hopefully) encouraged to, as Gene Roddenbury wrote, "Boldly go where no one has gone before." I would just add "but be back in time for the 3:00 meeting."
As an art director/creative director I've worked at some great shops, including Colle McVoy/Minneapolis, Lawler Ballard-Earle Palmer Brown/Norfolk VA, Carmichael Lynch/Minneapolis, and Martin Williams/Minneapolis. In my current position as SVP Executive Creative Director at Broadhead I’m able to work with some of the most creative and inspired people in this business, both on the agency and client side.
Speaking of clients, they've included 3 different state lotteries, 2 banks, a computer company, another bank, fishing tackle, inline skates, 4 different retail chains, an online financial company, a cheese company, ag, a boat manufacturer, a hospital, a motorcycle company, the scouts, a zoo, a construction equipment manufacturer, a fire department, a lawn maintenance equipment manufacturer, a blimp, a boot company, golf course turf supplies, a casino, things that kill bugs, and a company that sells 30 million live crickets a week to pet stores. This list, and my perspective, keeps growing every day.
I believe all of this work has helped create stronger brands, while winning a bunch of awards along the way. You'll find a sampling of it on these pages. On some of it I was the art director, on some I was the creative director. If you'd like to see more just give me a shout.
Thanks for looking.
